The Purple Project
The Purple Project, based at That Purple Place, is a two-year initiative designed to support the wellbeing of individuals in our community, particularly those facing financial hardship, loneliness, and mental health challenges.
Through 36 free wellbeing workshops, we provide access to activities such as pottery, sound baths, guided meditation, and relaxation sessions, helping people manage stress and improve their emotional health. In addition, our volunteer training programme offers individuals the chance to gain valuable skills in first aid, safeguarding, and community support, empowering them to make a difference.
We believe that wellbeing should be accessible to all, which is why our sessions are free, removing financial barriers that often prevent people from engaging in self-care. By fostering connection and providing a safe, welcoming space, we aim to reduce isolation, strengthen community ties, and promote resilience.
This project is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and supports those who need it most. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, personal growth, or a sense of belonging, The Purple Project is here for you.
